On November 21, 2005 I needed more answers than I had questions for. My father passed away from a sudden heart attack which rocked my world. Within hours of my father’s passing, my mom remembered that my dad had “the answer book”. We glanced through it and were amazed at the answers to some of our questions and questions to come were in the book. Answers ranged from his wishes, contacts, location of important information, etc…

I am not sure of the source that my parents attained a copy but over the last few years I have created a digital copy and made some updates in some of it’s original lingo.

It is my hope and prayer that this may be of use to you and your loved ones as we never anticipate our heavenly birthday but in that event I hope we can each so our best to provide our loved ones some answers to make the process smoother for them.

He never got to meet any of his grandkids but my wife and I have vowed for our kids to know who their papa was. So we showed them the video. It brought tears to me as I watched moments of my childhood with my father and how special those moments were. I watched my kids as they were recognizing their granma, my brother, myself and as the video progressed they started pointing out more of the pictures with papa. In the photos of him with non-family members, they inquired who he was with and why? They were curious to what he was doing? Silly papa wearing that wig, etc…

As I watched them interact with this video, I was in awe of how these photos brought him more to life for them since they never got to meet him. They understand that he lives in Heaven with Jesus.

I was also reminded of how precious each moment is with the ones we love. How do we love one another? How well do we love our neighbor? We are given a blessing to walk in the name of Jesus each day. It is my hope that I can continue to reflect Jesus in the lives of my children, to my wife, and my community.
